I have always been fascinated with the idea of value. How do you create value in a short time when you meet a prospect. If you are an insurance advisor then it would be very difficult to create value within the domain of your industry. The question therefore is “Is it possible to create a distinct identity which is out of the box and which is outside the domain of the business?”.
Since I am heading a training organisation, I need to think out of the box to come out with very strange ideas to share with my students. I recently got a batch of MDRT advisors who are aspiring for TOT to do graphology – handwriting analysis. We all did a 4 days exhaustive course on graphology. Graphology (or graphoanalysis,) is the analysis of the physical characteristics and patterns of handwriting which is able to evaluate personality characteristics. Handwriting analysis can quickly reveal such factors as your character, emotions, intellect, level of activities, area of competence, creativity, social adjustment, your desires, fears, weaknesses, strengths & current financial comfort levels
Did you know that your signature reflects your current thought process ? You can actually tell a lot of things from a persons signature. Check on google for ideal signatures. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s signature is nearest to the most ideal signature. Also check for signatures of Hitler, Osama Bin Laden and you will understand the ultimate extremes of their signatures as denoted by their personalities. There are 25 different forms of signatures which express a personality trait each.
Now if a very successful insurance advisor wants to meet up with a high net worth individual then he can use the signature analysis route to get an access to him through his common contacts. He can also analyse the handwriting of his staff and give him insights about them which would just amaze him. This is a shortest way to create value for a prospective customer. In all my training sessions I do a handwriting and signature analysis of participants and am able to help them know themselves.
